Busy Gears

This toy deserves its own post.  Mom and Dad Hill have this toy at their house and Grayson loved playing with it over Christmas, so much, in fact, that they mailed us one after we returned home.  This toy remains his absolute favorite (and that is saying a lot since we are about six months behind in our blogging).  He takes great pride in making sure his Busy Gears are in proper working order - he makes sure all gears are right side up at all times, he removes and replaces the gears in different positions over and over and over again to make sure they work properly, and he adds various objects to the gears to see whether or not they will jam the motion.  He brings it to us sometimes just to show us what he can do with it.  He's adorable!

January

Since we missed Christmas with Grayson we decided to celebrate once we got home.  Grayson had so much fun opening his presents.  And I was in love with my Christmas tree.  I don't think a Christmas tree has ever meant more to me than it did this year.  It was a real tree and it smelled divine!  I loved my tree and we had a lot of fun making decorations for it.

Christmas 2011

This past Christmas we were lucky to end up on a cruise!  We left Grayson with grandma and grandpa Hill and I'm pretty sure he had a better time than we did. I am unfortunately the world's worst picture taker and we are therefore left with about 10 pictures of our entire 8 day cruise.  We had a blast though.  I was about 16 weeks pregnant so I wasn't able to participate in all the activities but it was fun to watch Darren zip through the forest on the zip line.

After that, we headed back to sunny California to get our sweet boy and spend a week with our Sacramento family.  We had so much fun hanging out, eating good food and going to San Francisco.
