Virginia family

After a long week of driving we finally got to Hershey.  We unloaded all our boxes and headed to Virginia to see Karen and Adam.  We spent the afternoon catching up, meeting cute little Ryan, and making future plans to see each other.  (We are so excited we are only 2 hours away! Come see us soon!)

Moving

Our summer flew by way too fast and before we knew it we were packing up our belongings and heading out east for medical school.

Our best attempt at a family photo.
This is the only "Welcome to..." shot that I got in focus.

buddies

My youngest sister Olivia became best friends with Darren this summer.  The two of them were inseparable.  They jumped bikes, played in the back yard, had water balloon fights, and tubed the river together.

Grayson meets the Graysons!

My Granny and Granddad Grayson flew all the way from Kentucky to come see us off.  We had a great week with them!

Generations

We were lucky enough this summer to get a five generation picture with my great grand-parents!

Prince Ali

Three of my sisters performed in the Gypsum Daze talent show.  Emma played the flute and Olivia played the harp.  They both performed beautifully!  Melanie played the violin as Prince Ali from Aladdin and she was adorable.  Darren was in charge of making her turban for her costume.  This is what I found on the camera when I downloaded our pictures. (I think he was trying to decide which method of turban tying worked best)

Personally, I like the second one.

Utah

We took one last trip to Utah to see some of Darren's family right before we left for Pa.  Darren's parents were on their way home after serving as Mission President in Slovenia.  It was so wonderful to see them and spend quality time with them.

We stayed with Scott (Darren's oldest brother) and Emily and their family.  They were so good to us and I have an awesome time catching up with my sister-in-law!  We're so happy that Darren's parents are back and we can't wait to get the whole family together!

Just hanging out

The family having fun...

Grandma thought it would be funny to make Grayson look like Alfalfa.  It was pretty funny.

Easter morning Grayson got a huge chocolate bunny.

This boy likes his chocolate!

Denver

One Saturday Darren, Grayson, and I headed down to Denver to see my good friend Megan, her husband Rusty, and their daughter Jadie.  We went to the temple and had a great day spending time with them.

Camping

Darren and I lived with my parents for the summer which was wonderful for many reasons.
1. Momma's home cookin'
2. Free babysitters at any time day or night
3. I got to paint/ decorate all summer with my mom
4. Gypsum daze
5. Double Dates with mom and dad
6. I got to hang out with my sisters and mom all day!
 7. I had lots of reasons to make cakes and...
8. Camping
The whole family packed up and went to St. George for the weekend.
